Dog's...Wonderful Dogs

What a great couple of weekends we and the dogs have had. The weather has been good, although we did run into snow today near Detroit Lake. Avery and Nixie were along for that and really enjoyed running around and digging in it. As you can see, Avery even put an ear up for it, ha ha ha.
Detroit Lake holds a ton of great memories for me. When I was young we camped there often. We swam in that lake from sun up until sun down, day after day after day. Lance and I met the family there for an over night stay once, even my brother Jay was there that time. I think the year would have been 1979..in other words, a life time ago! We are planning a camping trip later this summer and I'm already looking forward to it. I enjoy being places that remind me of how much fun being young was. Dad made it through the surgery with flying colors and is doing well now at home, I am so thankful for that. It's always hard to see him down and it takes a lot to get him there. Today I am thankful for my family, from my Sister who is my best friend and number one shopping partner. My brother whom I am so proud of words will never be enough to explain how I feel about him today. For my Dad that keeps reminding us to live or lives and enjoy them, to my husband the one who worries enough for me and half the word and of course to the dogs who make me laugh, make me get outside and enjoy the world we live in and make me glad when evening comes and they all sleep! Today was a great day.

I'm so glad your dad is doing well. My mom died almost 3 years ago, but my dad is still going strong and happy. I hope he has many years left to him yet.

Your dogs look beautiful playing in the snow! They look like snow dogs. Lovely photos!
