Time Apart

A vacation changes my view on life. We all need time apart, although I miss the dogs terribly when separated from them for any length of time. I do appreciate them more when reunited..!

Traz still hasn't gotten his voice back and is thin. At least hes eating well, so should put the weight right back on. Nixie isn't hungry, which is a change for her. She seems unaffected by being at the kennel for a week. I think as long as Traz is near her, she really doesn't care about anything else. the picture is the view from our hotel room in Ixtapa. We had the time of our lives!

Winter

It seems like winter arrives all of the sudden. I was happy to have time outside with the dogs yesterday when the rain finally stopped for a few hours. Nixie sat out front and watched me rack leaves, while Traz sat in the back yard, no doubt looking at his Kong hoping it would move! One more week until vacation and I already feel worried-guilty for leaving the dogs at the kennel. I just keep telling myself I will be a better "Mom" after a long hot sunny vacation, and the lime juice to cure the rickets! Ha ha ha
