Spring is slowly coming to Oregon

This is a picture of Nixie as a puppy. Lance made me a cd of pictures, I had forgotten all about it. I don't remember Nixie being so small, shes sitting in front of our raspberry harbor, they look huge compared to her. The other picture is of Multnomah falls. We hiked there last weekend. It was a dog free weekend, so we didn't take a camera, is shot was taking by Lance with his phone. I wonder why I don't feel we need a camera if the dogs are not a long?!?!?!? We dashed over to Washington, drove by Dog Mountain, I looked up at it and told the mountain, I will be back next year on my 50th Birthday to hike you! We hike several different areas that day and went to Bonneville dam and fish hatchery. It was a great weekend, very relaxing, but as always I was ready to pick the dogs up and so glad to see them all feeling fine. Today, I am thankful for the few flowers already up in the garden, thankful my Dad and Brother are both feeling well after having surgery last month. Thankful for a rain free day to walk the dogs and thankful summer is just around the corner.

Dog's...Wonderful Dogs

What a great couple of weekends we and the dogs have had. The weather has been good, although we did run into snow today near Detroit Lake. Avery and Nixie were along for that and really enjoyed running around and digging in it. As you can see, Avery even put an ear up for it, ha ha ha.
Detroit Lake holds a ton of great memories for me. When I was young we camped there often. We swam in that lake from sun up until sun down, day after day after day. Lance and I met the family there for an over night stay once, even my brother Jay was there that time. I think the year would have been other words, a life time ago! We are planning a camping trip later this summer and I'm already looking forward to it. I enjoy being places that remind me of how much fun being young was. Dad made it through the surgery with flying colors and is doing well now at home, I am so thankful for that. It's always hard to see him down and it takes a lot to get him there. Today I am thankful for my family, from my Sister who is my best friend and number one shopping partner. My brother whom I am so proud of words will never be enough to explain how I feel about him today. For my Dad that keeps reminding us to live or lives and enjoy them, to my husband the one who worries enough for me and half the word and of course to the dogs who make me laugh, make me get outside and enjoy the world we live in and make me glad when evening comes and they all sleep! Today was a great day.

Bald Eagle

There were several bald eagles in this Field. It's hard to get close without them flying away, but this one remained long after all the others had left. It was the largest of them all. Click the picture to enlarge it enough to see how beautiful he or she is.
